Questions that need to be answered at workshop

  1. PostgreSQL v MySQL
    • Considering the size of dataset is getting too big for MS Access what will be the default DBMS
      • Note 1: MS Access 2000 and 2002 the size database limitation is 2Gb MS_Access_Specifications
      • Note 2: If more space or a robust engine is required the MS Access objects can help: Linked tables (Nunhems case) or Pass-Throught objects can be used.
  2. CropFinder
    • Can the CropFinder tables be added to the standard release of ICIS.
    • Triggers can be used with functions to maintain the factors table.
