Assign Plot Number

Overview

The Assign Plot Number form allows the user to group selected samples and insert control varieties into the list of samples, and assign plot numbers to selected samples for characterization. The user may print a prooflist containing the plot number assignments.

This use case involves the management and assignment of plot numbers to selected samples for characterization

Actor Action System Response
Step 1. Use case is initiated when the Actor specifies the species and request numbers of the sample selections that are for plot number assignment Step 2. System retrieves all seed stock requests that match the criteria provided by the Actor
Step 3. Actor creates groupings for the samples in the selection for plot number assignment (optional) Step 4. System sorts the samples based on any groupings created by the Actor. Database is updated.
Step 5. Actor requests for the prooflist of groupings for the samples prior to plot number assignment Step 6. System produces the prooflist of groupings
Step 7. Actor inserts control varieties into sample selection, then assigns the plot numbers Step 8. System performs updates to the database
Step 9. Actor requests for the prooflist of plot number assignments Step 10. System produces the prooflist of plot number assignments
Step 11. Use case is concluded when the Actor receives confirmation
