Input/Edit Morpho-Agronomic Data (Transaction) for O. sativa / O. glaberrima

Overview

Morphological and agronomic characters are best observed at different growth stages of the crop, thus characterization is done at three different stages: Vegetative, Reproductive and Harvest/Post-harvest. All morphological and agronomic data are initially stored in a transaction table, and are considered as "raw data". The Input/Edit Morpho-Agronomic Data (Transaction) for O. sativa/ O. glaberrima form allows the user to enter or edit "raw" morphological and agronomic data about cultivated accessions. The user may request for prooflists, datasheets and fieldbook sheets for verifying/recording morphological and agronomic traits.

Use Case Definition

Use case name

3.1.1 Input/Edit Morpho-Agronomic Data (Transaction) for O. sativa / O. glaberrima

Use case description

This use case involves the entry/editing of morphological-agronomic data for samples belonging to the cultivated species (O. sativa or O. glaberrima)

User contacts n/a
Actors Genebank technician
Locations Genebank
Priority 1
Typical Course of Events:
Actor Action System Response
Step 1. Use case is initiated when the Actor enters new data or specifies criteria for searching samples that will have their morphological-agronomic data edited Step 2. System retrieves all samples for editing, checks the validity and integrity of new and edited data. Database is updated.
Step 3. Actor requests for prooflists/datasheets/ fieldbook sheets Step 4. System produces the prooflists/ datasheets/ fieldbook sheets
Step 5. Use case is concluded when the Actor receives confirmation
