About my Job:

I have a passion for perfection. Well, no software is really bug-free or feature-complete but at least the effort of making it such brings it closer to perfection.

I was a computer science instructor at UPLB before I joined IRRI, and prior to that I worked as a programmer at a Hitachi manufacturing company. So having a blend of experience in the industrial, academic, and research sectors, the quality control concept of "on target with the smallest variation" dominates my mind.

The application of this philosophy is behind the continuous improvement of the ICISworkbook, an ICIS application that serves as data entry tool for experiment, nursery or survey data into the ICIS databases through an Excel spreadsheet.

ICISworkbook takes advantage of AI-based algorithms to offer automation for user convenience. It takes into account both novice and advanced users with the various implementation of it's functions. Speed is also a top priority in the design.

ICISworkbook has been revised multiple times and is continuously being redesigned as new solution comes into mind. There's only one goal - aim for perfection.
